When you click on the Courses tab found under in the Users section, you may or may not have Multiple Matrices set up. This is used when you have more than 3 courses and you need to manage them more effectively. Splitting the courses into multiple Matrices will only show the courses in that Matrix for easier management and control. You can set Administrator privileges for each Matrix.
For example, you may have Matrix 1 as the HR courses and Matrix 2 as the WH&S courses.
Course Content Manager
On this screen, you will either have some demonstration slides or an empty matrix ready for you to start uploading your content.
View a Slide
In order to preview the slide you have just created, press on the magnifying glass to the right of the Slide. This will show you how the slide will look in your course.
View an Entire Course (Course Tools)
At the bottom of your screen, you will find the Course Index with a Preview button next to each course title.
Click on the magnifying glass to preview all the slides in that course allowing you to quickly review the content and the order of the material.
In this preview, you can also click and edit this slide on the top right of each slide. This will take you directly into that particular slide for you to edit. This feature will save you time clicking in and out of the preview to edit a slide.
If you wish to complete the course as a User to test the full functionality of the Next, I Agree and Review Slide functions, you will need to invite yourself as a User of the system and complete the course as normal.
Copy Slides (Course Tools)
This feature enables you to copy large slabs of slides and place them either in the same course matrix or another.
Simply click on the ‘Copy slides’ button on the top right of your screen:
- Choose the range of slides you'd like to copy
- Select the course matrix to copy the new slides to
- Select where you'd like to position the slab of slides
- Click ‘Copy’ and you will be taken to the copied slides.
'Back to Courses'
This button will appear only if there are multiple Matrices on your account.
By pressing the button, 'Back to Courses' it will take you back to the screen that shows you all the course matrices and their courses.
Note: Matrices are an Administrative tool for efficient management of courses, it does not impact the User in any way and they can still be assigned to various Programs.
Edit the Course Matrix name
Customise the course matrix title names to organise their course layouts better. This is located under Course Editor and is actioned by clicking the pen icon () next to the course matrix.
Print the entire Course or save it as a PDF
To print an entire course, press the Printer icon next to the course in the Course Index.
The entire course will now open up in a new window where you can simply select print from your browser, once the bar at the top has loaded. See this FAQ.
Note: the course will print every slide on a single A4 page. You can also print or save it to PDF if needed.
